>Adrian / AJ - from the 'Sunday riders'... he said he would buy anyone a beer who complained.

I'll have to remember that !

>Think that may have been me and the light in question was a Magicshine MJ-818 Very noticable.... sorry never thought about it being Recumbent Eye Level.... will adjust or use another next FNRttC.

Ah, no worries, whoever it was - I was more curious about what the light was - it had a slow blink rate which was a little unusual. It was only really a little troublesome on the first stop we made, once I'd stopped there was nowhere to move to. For that matter flashing front lights catch my helmet mirror if the rider's just behind to the right - but the solution's the same, move across/drop back/pull ahead and not worry about it...err..I suppose you could say I'm laid-back about it

Peeps. I'm at the front. I don't see a lot of rear lights, so if you see someone with a bright rear light then mention it to them at the time - or, if you prefer, mention it to me or one of the TECs. It's usually the work of a moment to angle them down.

Bear in mind that a good 50% of the FNRttCers never see Cycle Chat..........

Stuaff got his first sunburn of the season sitting behind it... I think it was Ian assisting with the repositioning, eventually? A great T.E.C. light though - a moton muncher!

Assuming it isn't one of the TECs.
having a really bright light is one way to become a TEC. As one of our less frequent correspondents with a Dinotte will remember

If you can't find anything else Becs, I normally carry a pair of small Exposure lights and enough batteries to last a night, as spares in case anyone has a failure. They basically use a sort of rubber band mount, so will fit most bikes with a bit of spare handlebar (or seatpost for the rear) to fit to. It's quite small, but surprisingly powerful.

Does anyone have a spare decent front light I can borrow for this ride? I can't really afford to invest in a Hope or similar until payday and I doubt mine will cut it once we clear london

I've got a RSP Asteri 3 spare - you can borrow that if you want. It's got enough oomph for unlit roads and the battery's good for 7 hours. Might be a better option than riding slowly into the back of me this time?
