I may beat my personal record on this ride, need to get past 163 miles.

^ Aw Gareth - a nice little drift into Windsor, along the Thames to Staines, down along round the A30 to Feltham and beyond...pick up Luke en route to HPC, then Des O in Chiswick... you'll be missing a nice pre-ride ride!![]()
Rest your legs before the ride, Gareth, and then, if you feel sprightly (and sober) when you leave Felpham you could latch on to people heading west. Hummers and Stu will be going to Portsmouth, and I'm going to Wittering. You'll have the wind behind you, and stations at Chichester and Bosham to head for if you're starting to feel it. The route east toward Brighton is do-able, but a little on the complex side unless you're prepared to bomb down the A259. And the headwinds at Worthing will be just tamarisk-shredding.
So how does this one match up to Whitstable hills-wise? Am nursing a slight hangover and have no prospect of much extra sleep tonight or tomorrow during the day.... That said I did set a couple of PBs on Tuesday for the CryPalberg so maybe I am actually getting better at the lumpy stuff.
That was the plan, my thinking is that as 72 miles is going to be a long ride (for me) i thought i would see if i can survive the planned section first. If its all good and i can still stand at the end of the planned ride then i will have to sign up to the next ones and cycle in and pick people up en-route (its only going to be 25 miles extra afterall).
Gareth
I think it's easier than Whitstable, but others disagree. So how does this one match up to Whitstable hills-wise?
