Yeah, I'm familiar with the luxurious PDFs, this will be my fourth FNRttC. Many of you already know me from the other place...

Chris KH can do a passable impersonation of rich p. Paul - between them they'll have you in a right state...but you'll know the history between Peter Pan's Playground and Adventure Island, the love of Southend by Helen Mirren and a potted history of Dr Feelgood, who started out there, along with many others.

I was brought up just outside Southend, and have many happy memories - particularly around Old Leigh. Can't wait to do some reminiscing....

I'm tempted but I'd have to defer to local knowledge. I can vouch that the mud is muddy a long way out and that seals, oystercatchers,turnstones and curlew are resident and the charms of out of season English seaside resorts have a timeless charm.
