Ohhh, the dilemmas....

Finally, two weeks late, my replacement wheels are due to arrive in a few hours.. so do I fit them... leave the wheels on where Ive kinked the spokes but still not broken them... or given the monsoon were going to have, take the tourer with full mudguards.. and panniers racks.... that ive not cycle for a month.... and am hungover....

  • The forecast is for rain.
  • By the sea, at 3am in November, it is ALWAYS bloody freezing.
Which one of those two sentences are you having trouble with?

Manston is the nearest met observation point to Whitstable.

looks pretty mild to me.

Having looked at the just the end points on XC weather, it's looking ok. Possibility of a small shower and positively balmy! Bring its own problems though as I need to dress for an overnight ride and the ride home (at speed)

Am not looking at staying and getting drunk, for once, so may join you on the way back, but not via the M2 this time, but yes, that's also another dilemma...

Dont we just love it!

Trikes packed in car.
Route to Whitstable checked.
Train times checked, I'm aiming for the 9:30 train in.
I'm going to see if I can get a couple of hour zzzzz's now.

Wheather in Northampton at the moment is gray, damp, foggy .........

Proper mudguards, screwed in.. Not the lightweight flimsy jump in the spoke type ones...

Well, the weather in Staines, as the weather will come across here first before London is fine. White skies, so over cast, but theres plenty of muffin tops still on show, so alls well!

Hmm. Sore throat threatening to include ear-ache but fighting with sudofed tabs, lozenges and warm liquids. Leaving work early for a snooze as backup.

Mudguards or no? Winter boots or regular shoes with spare socks and change of clothing?

I'm dithering. Clear sign I'm not well

Looking at the Met Office's rain radar, there's a front, across and just leaving the South West, which I suspect is the guilty party which may leave some drizzle on us. We'll have to keep an eye on it, and see when and if it's going to pass over London.

Well I'm on a train to Southampton at the moment, and it's been chucking it down relentlessly from Swansea to Newport. I'm hoping it's brighter across the border, but I have reason to believe it sometimes rains in England as well...

Few hours kip....
Been off work all week so hope I don't struggle tonight.....
So it's geared bike this time....
Train times Checked
Alarm Clock set....

See you all later.....zzzzzzzzzz's
