XCweather is still showing nothing of note. BBC is showing some light rain on our way out of London.

Oh well nothing for it but to wait and see!!!

Looking at the radar it's very hard to decide whether the rain will hit us or not. It could be anything between nothing whatsoever and a brief but very heavy downpour. Ho hum.

I'm about to leave for HPC, I'll see those who are doing the ride shortly.

Pah. Got in from work early, hoping to get some zzzs, only to be sent out to the shops by SWMBO to get missing ingredients for risotto and biscuits for greedy cats. Hope I'm still awake by the time I get to HPC.

And, in the outskirts of London (NW) 15 miles from the start point, it is piddling down fairly harshly. I am nice and dry, warm and about to go to bed. Perfect.
Be safe - apply lots of dry wit to keep your heads precipitation free. Lots of photos of interesting things please (which probably rules out a minimum of 50% portraits etc )
