I'm not sure I'm qualified, having only done two rides, it all seems a bit "grown up" to me. I have got some witty and spontaneous repartee that I can reuse.

I'm fit in that I'm not unhealthy and can go fast and slow. Crap at remembering jokes though. I haven't done a job interview for nearly 25 years though - is that list the normal criteria these days?

Looks like shenanigans on the west coast mainline, so the train back to middle earth will be expensive. Nevertheless, it's Whitstable, and therefore worth it.

I am contemplating train back to Victoria, pedal to Hemel Hempstead and then train north.

Or you could cycle across to St. Pancras and get an FCC train to either St Albans or Harpenden and cycle across to Hemel from there. It would be nicer scenery.

Or get the fast train to St. Pancras and avoid cycling across town. (Assuming that service is operation on the day - haven't checked.)
