Now before anyone starts taking the p***, I have actually seen the windmill in Stock as well as the brass bear outside the pub.

You culture vulture! It has been brass monkeys recently - I think you need a day at the zoo with Uncle Charlie! The giraffes are nice and I'm sure you'll see eye to eye with them.

Yup. Bedzed*. Helios Road. We must remember to stop for a photo of Butterfly's tandem next to the road sign. It's on my commute, on a fast, straight, narrow & busy bit of road it's hard to avoid.

We pass it on the Brighton rides.

* So called because of the location in Beddington. It isn't. As User10571 points out, it's in Hackbridge.

Oh - and it's very near a sewage treatment plant and waste transfer station.

... and surprisingly hard to recognise at night, the brightly coloured "chimneys" aren't half as visible in darkness.

I recall a shout from DZ at about this point on a ride back in, ooh, maybe 2006 along the following lines: "Stopping! My miniature pump has disassembled itself into the gutter." Which had me baffled, as this took place in a decade in which I believe DZ didn't get any punctures. Maybe it was actually a vacuvin thingy.
