Just done a slightly longer than normal commute and the ribs were absolutely fine, not even a need to crack open the ibuprofen, job is a good one.Don't ride a bike then!
Hurrah indeed!Hurrah!
Ditto...We'd be more likely to be coming into LB, or riding straight up.
But, knowing there might be a Vic Contingent having a preliminary swoop across town...
Suffice to say, if anyone does fancy a Waterloo meetup, it would be nice to have some company for a change. And I won't get you lost, honestI'd intended to change trains en route and go to Waterloo, but if others who know the way are meeting at Victoria as usual I'll tag along with them. I like the gathering by Platform 12 thing.
Well, they're welcome to....A Waterloo meetup? To accompany you the several hundred feet ride to the start?![]()
I'll be on the Brixton variation too I think - straight on at the lights at the end rather than the left turn I take for HPC. It's never the most fun going through there though, especially if there's a big gig on at the Academy (Miike Snow that night - should be fine)A Waterloo meetup? To accompany you the several hundred feet ride to the start?
I'll probably be cycling there, although rather than being able to go into autopilot, since 90% of the route to HPC is my commute, I'm trying to work out a more acceptable plan, although currently it looks like going Brixton will be difficult to avoid. Not wishing to criticise any Brixton inhabitants, but going through there late on a Friday night I'm likely to meet slightly more people, marginally worse from some alcohol imbibment, and the normal vast amounts of buses, getting in the way!
I tend to avoid taking a train, on the basis that it only gets me there marginally faster (probably ten minutes or so), and at least cycling across town clears my head, and puts me in the right frame of mind for cycling.
Of course it would be perfectly civilised were the imbibement to happen at breakfast time, in a quaint seaside town, before being slept off on a packed train to London, with dribbling imbibment onto their bib-shorts of said imbibement. Not wishing to criticise any Brixton inhabitants, but going through there late on a Friday night I'm likely to meet slightly more people, marginally worse from some alcohol imbibment, and the normal vast amounts of buses, getting in the way!
Yes, I know that way out quite wellThere will almost certainly be a party of at least two coming into Waterloo - assuming, that is, we manage to smuggle a tandem onto the train at London Road Guildford, or don't decide to come in to Baker Street or Marylebone instead.
I can even demonstrate the way out of Waterloo that doesn't involve a staircase...
Anyone going training back via East - Stratford or Kings X? Hoping for some groupsave chums. Cheers
