To make matters worse, when I collected the ticke, no cycle reservation came out.
I had an issue with my preferences. I put in the usual forward facing/window/table/power plug & lap dancer and got a warning message that not all of my preferences were available. When I went back it seemed to lose my bicycle reservation. Had to start again and put absolutely no preferences, just the bicycle place. Its showing on my confirmation. Have yet to it the ticket machine ...

I have booked one place on the 10:30 am. Does anyone know how strict are East Coast and Hull trains on their bike policy? There's normally lots of storage in some of those trains. Worst case, would it be ok to take the wheels off and carry them with us as "bulky" items? Many thanks!

East Coast can be very strict. It depends on the mood of the guard.

I'm still waiting for East Coast to release tickets for the Saturday.

ETA: have bought ticket with cycle reservation for the trip down on the Friday as the prices were starting to go up already. Still unable to buy return trip.

Tickets bought Transpennine Express - Bradford to York and York to Bradford (return anytime on Saturday)

Hoping to join Arch & Co for the return ride from Hull to York. Must be mad, but then, I rest assured that I'm not alone.

My friend GM has told me about this ride.... I'd love to come on it, it would be my first. I am a veteran of longish rides, as when I was a teen (many years ago!) I used to do 1000 miles every summer cycling 50 to 80 miles per day, Youth Hostelling etc. I saw G's photos of last years York to Hull, so I'll work out how to register.

Excited already!
