Back to the topic of cycling, has anyone else noticed how those middle class types tend to wear black cycling gear and ignore your friendly gestures, while us working class types tend to wear high viz,or vivid coloured cycling gear and respond to friendly gestures?:cuppa:
How can you tell the unfriendly ones are middle class? Maybe they have whippets at home and are just *pretending* to be middle class.

Someone earlier said if you have property to rent out you're middle class. Well i have (live in:secret:) rented property. I also have a gardener. I get tax demands and i don't rise from my bed till mid morn' on some days. Does this make me middle class i wonder?

Oh,and someone called me "sir" up the park the other day. So maybe i'm not only middle class but upper class.
Even whippets are pretty middle class these days. Ours wouldn't even get out of bed for an electric rabbit.
And they cost about 800 quid for one with proof of pedigree:ohmy:. Jack Russells were a fiver when i bought my last one in 1996. Now you can pay 300 quid for an ankle biter!

Warrington is not North, it is in the Midlands ;)

I used to wind up my Sheffield-born colleague by telling her she was a Midlander. I tend to think of the north as starting at the M62. That being the case, Warrington is a border town.

The class divide isn't as simple as north/south though. Anyone who thinks that there's no such thing as a middle-class northerner clearly hasn't been to Harrogate.
