Of course sometimes they're part of the problem not the solutionand gendarmes
Chris Froome has been fined for pushing a spectator was he right to do so?
I have no idea why these guys want to dress up like pratts and run alongside a cyclist. 2 seconds of fame.? What as? A dickhead.
Eric Cantona got a 9 month ban for aiming a gentle kick at a 'fan' Froome should get a similar sentence if you ask me![]()
I've read through this thread 3 times now and can't see anyone having mentioned that the chump's flag was fluttering in and out of Froome's front wheel. Froome said himself in the interview afterward that that was the precise reason he had to get the guy out of the way. And there has since (not the night of but the next day) been video released from an angle that clearly shows exactly that.I gonna say no. The guy was a chump, but presented no danger to Froome himself. He should save the jab for the organisers that allow such chaos.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Vinnie Jones or Norman Hunter were running down the wing and some moron in a chicken suit started running alongside waving a flag and shouting at them?

I would be interested to know , how do you think the organisers could prevent such chaos . genuine question
More fencing, more marshals.
WRC had a similar issue with spectators. They managed to get it under control.
Care to actually post something constructive?Armchair commentator - presume you have never been to the TdF.
does anyone really think that up to 200 km of road could be fenced off and every bit of it marshalled , each and every day of a grand tour.....
