Of course sometimes they're part of the problem not the solution

I gonna say no. The guy was a chump, but presented no danger to Froome himself. He should save the jab for the organisers that allow such chaos.
I've read through this thread 3 times now and can't see anyone having mentioned that the chump's flag was fluttering in and out of Froome's front wheel. Froome said himself in the interview afterward that that was the precise reason he had to get the guy out of the way. And there has since (not the night of but the next day) been video released from an angle that clearly shows exactly that.

I've had something unexpectedly go into my front wheel. Have you? Of course this chump was a major, potentially fatal, danger to Froome and indeed the rest of the YJ group. Get real.

Can you imagine what would have happened if Vinnie Jones or Norman Hunter were running down the wing and some moron in a chicken suit started running alongside waving a flag and shouting at them?

I didn't realise that Rooney was already wearing Man U's new away kit?

I would be interested to know , how do you think the organisers could prevent such chaos . genuine question

Easy .... 240km of manned barriers

Of course the only way it could afford to do that would be sell the tv rights to sky broadcasting and do a Bernie ecklestone and move all the stages to the Middle East where oil rich dictators will pay 30million per stage
