Eric Cantona got a 9 month ban for aiming a gentle kick at a 'fan' Froome should get a similar sentence if you ask me

Much as I like to see the bad guy get his comeuppance this is not a Clint Eastwood film, so I agree with @Drago, although I also sympathise with Froome.
His experience last year will have put him on high alert for any nonsense from spectators.
I also think it demonstrates that Froome - and most of the other top pro riders - are truly monsters when they are on the bike in a race.
They will allow nothing to get in the way of their desire to win.
I admire that single-minded determination, not least because I don't have it.

Wrong in my opinion.
Regardless of his behaviour to respond first with a punch is out of order. It wasn't a push in anyway, and should consider himself lucky not to be charged. Many people have to deal with adults, but most people don't use a punch as first option.

Over the years riders have been assaulted, knocked off both deliberately and otherwise, spat at, covered in pi$$, abused and God knows what else. If someone who has been the target of a fair bit of it gets a little tetchy at some clown running alongside him screaming his head off it is fully understandable.
Spectators should watch, applaud and write names on the road all they want. But keep out of the bloody way.
