No need to be hesitant. I'm not sure it's called Glowson Wood Road at that point, but it's exactly the right spot. Google has an older view from Sept 2009 where the colours are more like the ones in my picture.

That's making it worse for me... It was bad enough thinking that I was sure that I had ridden the road but couldn't remember which one it is. Now I can't remember where I saw the fake tree either!

Eh ?! Is that the Anclifffe Lane near Hest Bank? In a weird variation on the rule that I've usually been along a road posted here by @MontyVeda in the last day or so, my partner has just been along there, heading northwards on her return from a trip to the deepest, darkest depths of Surrey, in the last *hour* !!!

I was chatting to my sister about coincidences the other evening...

She reminded me that she'd once been eating out on holiday with her husband in an off-the-beaten-track village somewhere in Europe and they had got chatting to a friendly British couple at the next table. They bumped into them again a few years later in another obscure village in another country.

A similar thing happened again... Another couple, another country, and then met them again elsewhere in Europe.

One I hadn't heard before... A shoplifter had skedaddled from the Coventry shop she'd been working in. No CCTV at the time, but she had got a good look at him and was asked to go to police HQ in Birmingham to go through some books of mugshots. She walked into the office where the officer was waiting with the photos and he recognised her instantly from another holiday encounter! (She had very distinctive waist-length hair at the time and is quite tall, so she was easy to recognise.)

Ok, my turn to come up with a picture then. This is where I have probably forgotten that I have posted this road before...!
