Garmin Edge 1000 - rechargeable while in use?

IIRC the problem with some Garmin was the lead

Some leads have pins removed so they just supply power

Others have pins that makes the system think it is attached to a computer and put the Garmin into storage mode

If the OP's question has not been answered, I say yes. I did a 205miler and the Mallorca 312 this year took one of those usb charger things and plugged that in a few times and it recorded fine.
