Over a year since I replaced the battery of the 200 and it's still holding as good a charge as when it was first replaced. Money well spent.

Around a year since I replaced mine, it still functions like when the unit was new.
I think I did buy my battery from Amazon.
I did change the battery myself, bought the wee tool for a couple of pounds from my local tool shop.
I lost the Beep Beep sound because I don't have a soldering gun, tried with a glue gun but it wasn't happening.
The loss of sound does not bother me.

Tool wise i have a mate who replaced the battery on his 705 so i might just ask him to do it as i bet he has a solder gun too :smile:
I agree im not that bothered about the sound, i do have a 500 but as its older tech it takes a lot longer to get a gps fix and as its for commuting im dont want to be standing around waiting for it .
