Garmin Edge mounts

Somehow the rear of my Edge 520 has become worn/chipped, and now does not slot into any 1/4 mount turn with any precision...it sort of sits there but any jolt or bump causes the edge to go flying

Is there any way to either connect the Edge to the bike using anything other than a 1/4 mount turn, or is there any way you can buy/change the rear of the unit? I'm guessing 'no' to both

I have emailed Garmin, see what they say, but probably "buy a new unit"

You would, sadly be correct. The mount on Edges -all of them, old and new- is moulded part of the back casing, so not replaceable. Garmin will of course sell you a refurb (if you go down that route back up everything you want to transfer first, I lost most of a LeJOG when my dead 705 went back because they just send you another one....). Cheaper option: keep an eye on eBay for a dead 520 (or another model with the same case, if there are any) and use it for parts.

You can get replacements on e bay for very little money. I have the cheap versions on all my bikes and they are fine.
