My view is that cyclists worry too much about what other road users or the tabloids think of them. As long as you ride along following the rules and laws of the road and try to avoid obstructing other road users, why worry themselves what they think of you.
Some road users have the mentality of Yorkshire Terriers. As soon as they see a bike they bark their little heads Off, even if the bike is parked against a wall. We, as cyclist will not change that.
As for the tabloids. They print what they want and people believe it without doing any of their own research.
My mission as a cyclists is to go out there and keep fit, visit new places, meet new people and enjoy myself.
The thoughts of other road users? Who cares.
