What tool do i need to get the lockring off the cassette on my Giant SCR4?
I have a chainwhip already, i just need the lockring thing.
It needs a new cassette ready for my dad/brother to use it when we go on holiday, so i might aswell get a tool for it to have for when/if i start to use it.

Cheers
(My fixed is much easier;))

But gears are for sissies Joe, that's what you keep telling us! Gear your fixed appropriately and you'll be fine

You need a lockring removal tool surprisingly - it'll have a hexagonal head for a spanner or socket.

Is it just any lockring tool or is there a certain one?
I wont be using gears, my dad and brother are going to be using it:rolleyes:

As far as I know they're either Shimano or Campag. Plenty to choose from on CRC.
The £4 one would fit a shimano cassette no problem.

Campag doesn't fit shimano - tried it on flatmate's bike 2 weeks ago. The notches are different heights and I think the diameter was slightly different.
