some of the reasons why it appeals - can use it on the rural towpaths with cyclocross tyres too - according to the blurb the rear hub with front 40tooth and rear 20tooth is the equivalent of running a 12-38 cassette - pretty wide spread gearingNo but I would love one. Big clearance, racks compatible, disks etc. looks great.
i'm just looking at different ideas really - the bike will be used for commuting only. its a 30mile round trip with 1200ft of climbing to get home, its all on cycle tracks so speed isn't really anything thats needed, track is very quiet in the mornings going downhill into work - busy on the way home but its up hill then anywayProbable some big jumps in between gears then if that is the case. That Di2 hub one is a novel idea.
something different to the titanium i already got and the carbon/alu 29er that i currently use for workThe vapour looks good. Regular gears but is an alu frame. Depends what you're after obviously.
that surly straggler is butt ugly thats for sureIf money were no object the Surly Straggler would be a good choice, but even if I could afford it, I think it is overpriced for what is quite a heavy bike. The Croix De Fer look awesome and will probably be coming to stable sometime next year.
It has to be through evans cycles vickster so no eastway im afraid.Built 20 almost in budgetI am building as I didn't want Shimano gearing

Actually the 2014 '10' is over budget, but a lush colour (same colour as my car)

The 00 comes in under but Sora, and a lesser steel

The Eastway steel commuter is rather lush but quite heavy, but does have SRAM
