I did to,...... initially.

The frame has three braze-ons for the rear brake cable, and the cable is attached to these braze-ons with plastic cable ties.

The frame is a lug-less design, except the down tube/head tube join which has sort of a third of a lug on the bottom of the down tube/head tube joint and the ones that I have seen have this partial lug, welded/brazed/soldered on the sides, but not across the downtube.

I don't react positively to either of these as they seem to be cost cutting measures not appropriate at the price point.

I have Sora hubs on my steel bike and they are great, but so they should be, this sort of technology was worked out decades ago.

Hi Ian. The reason disc frames use cable ties to hold on the brake cables as that allows you to fit hydraulic hoses instead of the cables should you choose to upgrade.
