Oh and I understand there is some Red Bull sprint for bonus seconds. Considering there's talk about the issues of having GC contenders at the front approaching the final sprint in GT stages getting them taking part in a intermediate sprints seems a bit silly (although they'll generally be utterly pointless as the break will hoover them up).

Is it just a bonus secs sprint?

It's bonus seconds and intermediate points.
There's is literally no point in it being called a "Kilometer" as it's just a first across the line sprint. There'll obviously be a KM's worth of Red Bull branding and probably barriers or something, but they're pointless.

I assume the "S"s are "normal" Intermediate sprints for points only and The Red Bull Km (which doesn't read very well on that circular thing) is an intermediate sprint for bonus seconds only - or does it count for sprint jersey points too?

Albania has changed a LOT since my day
Don't know when your 'day' was. I was sent to work there for a week about 2011 and roads west of Tirana were generally tarmacked, however roads going into the hills E of Tirana, after about only 15 km, were totally unsurfaced and in terrible condition. None of these Albania stages go E of Tirana, so hard to know if things have changed much there.

I thought the Albanian people lovely, Tirana interesting, the food in Tirana restaurants great (less so in small towns down the coast like Golem), and the landscape in the mountains E of Tirana thrilling. However there was much plastic litter (polythene bags) wind-blown into the fields between Tirana and Durres.
