That was a nasty crash, he seemed to completely fail to break his fall with anything except his head and then got hit in the head by someone else. I can't believe they were trying to get him back on the bike.

Why??? Is it raining? Quite a lot of kit to move form finish line, plus they would need another "car exit route" as that is just after the hair pin, so unlikely.

only other choice is to take times at 3km and not have a stage winner, which is pretty pointless on a sprint stage
