Is that your club? Or your local rivals? 😱

No, I live closer to Jonas these days (about 20 km from his current home), and I have never been in a (cycling) club (and Got my first race bike at age 36, when I was getting too fat). ^_^

They both rode for TCR, and at the time this photo was taken, Michael was already an accomplished junior rider - and an idol for Jonas. Michael still rides on weekends with TCR when he is home.

I have ridden TCR’s local race/sportive (En forårsdag i Thy / A Spring day in Thy) a couple of times, but pretty sure none of them were present! Too bad they have had to cancel that sportive since 2023 (most likely for good) due to the costs involved/manpower needed.

For many it was one of the first sportives in the year, usually in the beginning of April/May.

Stage 18 Fai della Paganella - Pieve di Soligo 171km

Could a team.or combine of teams control the stage to launch there chosen puncher up the last climb? Or a break gets the day .. Narvaez can win a hefty tally of points both ways but he's running out of legs . The stage isn't flat ...bit grippy . Road surfaces in this part of Italy tend to be good .

The possible permutations offer more than the actual parcour. Looks to me as if Paul Magnier is kind of between a rock and a hard place.
The races’s mid section looks perfect siesta territory.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Just to put the climbs on GTs into context, for ordinary UK riders, that insignificant cat 4 pimple at the end is just shy of 150m over just over a km.

That's roughly the same of the biggest climbs in the S of England (Ditchling, Kidds etc). Even most of the bigger climbs in t'North are only twice that-ish, so the same order of magnitude.

I've got my Climb Pro set to only display Cat 3 and above so that I am not deluded about my climbing abilities prior to heading abroad.
Dramatically cut down on the interruptions/notifications too! 😉

Plenty of 2-5 km climbs in the south of England

Jonas has given up on the facial hair: says he looked in the mirror and saw a sad teenage tryhard looking back at him. Acknowledged defeat and shaved it off.

These live audiences for The Breakaway are cringy. Who actually goes along to them? I originally assumed it would be entirely the same sad, middle aged men who like to comment on all Orla's social media stuff saying how great she looks but it looks like a real mix.
