The biggest problem with Golf is the elitist clubs with their petty rules and stupid dress codes. Mainly run by men with small man syndrome. No wonder they can’t attract younger members
While that no doubt exists, ooh 20 years ago and band of us used to play once a week at one of two courses, if you're part of a group that's not really interacting with others, it's OK, never had any noses turned up at us.
My BIL used to play a lot and while he's former management at a fairly high level, he'd just arrive and ask if anyone wanted a round.
