can't vote because there's no option for video game golf... of which there are numerous excellent examples.

A few years ago, an office colleague, in the "Secret Santa" presents, was given a "Grow your own golf course".

A packet of grass seeds!

I was asked to join a secret santa while I was in the dibble. Being the grumpy git that I am I declined.

And I'm glad I did. One of the female bobbies received a dildo and there was a massive hoo hah, and I was the only person not investigated because I wasn't in on the deal.

The biggest problem with Golf is the elitist clubs with their petty rules and stupid dress codes. Mainly run by men with small man syndrome. No wonder they can’t attract younger members

While that no doubt exists, ooh 20 years ago and band of us used to play once a week at one of two courses, if you're part of a group that's not really interacting with others, it's OK, never had any noses turned up at us.
My BIL used to play a lot and while he's former management at a fairly high level, he'd just arrive and ask if anyone wanted a round. He always said you get some interesting conversations, you realise someone with money has the same problems we do, just on a bigger scale. One chap he got on well with from the get go was a fella explaining the.lake in his garden had an algae problem. Most of us have a pond, he had a lake, same problem, just bigger, like many other things you realise.

A friend of mine stated:
"Golf, less of a sport, more of a career move."
The person who I thought coined the phrase, now denies it.

A colleague described golf as:
"An expensive way of taking a walk."

Think both are much better than the Mark Twain quote.

OTOH, I have an Uncle who not only enjoys golf, but used to do consultancy work for the Royal and Ancient, and got a book published on choosing the right type of grass to have on a golf course. Apparently The Belfry got it horribly wrong.
