I've tried, but it's one of those things I'm just rubbish at. And the clothes are really weird.

What? I think I look good on the course

And the clothes are really weird.

The equipment too - those golf bats, very strange.

Ah I see why you reckon golfers are crazyy. £900 per year fees and dressing like that. At least cyclists get more than a year from £900 (unless the carbon machine is crashed) and don't dress strangely at all

Haha it is possible to play golf, without dressing like an idiot! I'm debating whether to go and play today, it's raining but I really want to play...

Why not watch Jeremy Kyle, bake some scones, tidy your sock drawer?

Something normal....

Wash your bike and fettle

The company I work for sublets office space from a 'major golf equipment manufacturer'. The workshops and warehouse out the back are a golfer's wet dream and we get most of the sponsored players and various celebs passing through to have their clubs customised and fitted. Pity I can't stand the f***** game!

Less a sport, more of a career move.

Another month and the rugby season starts again.

I have to admit, one of the main useful attributes associated with Golf is it's place within the world of business. It's a great was of making contacts and securing deals. It's great fun, but the time is also wisely invested.

And amen to that, the pre season friendlies start in about 10 days, can't wait for our first game of the season, welcoming your lot over to the gardens!

Is it just me or is golf sh1t? To me, it's the sporting equivalent of death's waiting room.

Rubbish! Dayvo cycles and plays golf (he even works on a golf course) and he's....erm.....;)

^_^

Yeah but, I'd rather go on a ride for four hours than play golf for the same period of time!

I have a handicap of 19.6 but if I played as well as I should be able to, then I'd be down to about 10; just that I can't be bothered training after a full day working on the course!

'Tis a great job, though. Free golf and club membership, and free to play almost anywhere in Scandinavia (with the right contacts!).
