good dilema (for once)

With the impending sale of our previous marital home, the wife and I have come to an agreement.

She will take an intense driving course and I get a new shiny toy.

The trouble is I'm unsure of a new bike (tiagra spec saracen with disc brakes for £800 is looking shiny) or to upgrade my allez to 105 spec, fully serviced and new wheels. Ideally I'd love to do both however I'm being forced to choose.

The allez has served me well but is showing its age now! Even if it is only 2 years old and 2300 shod it's still funsometimes

Ooh decisions!
For me there was only one choice - to replace my ageing (but still great!) 6 yr old Saracen MTB with a new, light weight 29er!

New bike, if you've got circa £800 to spend you can get something very nice and shiny for the summer and just keep your allez ticking over for wet/ winter/ shopping trip runs?

the bike im looking at is disc braked so i'd be more inclined to use it in the wet! lol. next stop hub geared, belt drive, titanium framed, disked roadie!!!
