Good Idea or Not?

I've got a fixie/ss on order and I'm wondering is it a good idea to have it fixed during the week for short flat commutes and free at the weekends for longer leisure rides?
Do fixie/ss wheels flip quickly?
I know tread direction doesn't matter but is having a tyre wear one way and then another ok for handling?

they flip over very easly and cant see any reason why not if thats what you wanted to

You might find that it's a bit of a drag flipping the wheel round. The beauty of fixed is just getting on and riding...

Flipping the wheel round takes seconds after a little practice at getting the chain tension right. It is not a problem to do it out on the road if you are halfway through a ride and change your mind. Think about it, if you get a puncture you would take the back wheel out to replace the tube and pop it back when you are done without worrying about it.
