Green algae

Spent a wonderful afternoon today cleaning green algae from the pvc fascias of Attrick Towers, a job I have to do every year. It does no harm but looks horrible.....like the place is neglected and delapidated.

Strangely, I find no great pleasure in balancing on a ladder twenty feet aloft with soapy water running down my sleeve into my overalls. Does anyone know of a treatment which can be applied to prevent re-growth?

OK, but then I would be balancing twenty feet in the air with a paint brush every couple of years. Tried that once.....didn't like it

Try a power washer, better than soapy water down the sleeve anyway. Bleach solution would stop the regrowth, but won't last all that long, unless of course you are prepared to stand twenty feet up a ladder with a pump spray bottle every so often.
