I guess if if there is an upside to be found it is that the original fracture has stabilised and grown strong enough that it wasn't that that failed so you can be hopeful this one will fix as well and as strongly.

I've been zonked out for most of the day. The physio woke me up to practice stair climbing. Like we've all agreed on the ward, you take simple mobility for granted till it's gone! I'm going to ask if I can have a shower,I must be a bit whiffy as I haven't had one since Tuesday. I don't know if they'll let me as my dressing is supposed to stay on for another day. They also mentioned about me going home soon saying the half way/step down house is full.

I only went and slipped down a wet wooden decking step on Wednesday. As soon as I hit the deck(excuse the pun)
Bloody decking, I hate the stuff. I have to call at numerous homes in the day and a few have decking out the front, not only does it look total crap (The modern version of stone cladding) but it's lethal when wet.

It is indeed horrible stuff. I know from putting a ladder on it how slimey and slippery it is when it's wet. When decking doesn't get sun on it and the chance to dry out the mould grows and then it becomes treacherous. They have some of the stuff down my local pub in the outside smoking area. I walked on it the other week after it'd been raining for a day or so. I had to tread very carefully to make it back to safety.
