California (US) gets snow. Lake Tahoe, one of Americas large ski resorts is partly in California (the rest in Nevada)

LA might, but remember, California is larger in area than the UK, and has at least as much variety of climate, if not more.

There's a dirty duck pub in Barrow in Furness, now closed. There are quite a few dirty duck pubs around though. Loads of dirty ducks in England.
