You would think that the type of construction would have made it more difficult in production and more time consuming ?

Yes it was, but I believe it was cheaper to make at the time because the cost of the lugs compared to the cost of the labour. Would be the opposite now!

Interesting bike good to see it again. Waiting to see what colour is chosen.

Id name that bike SMIDSY when its finihsed.

Well a bit of tinkering time today has see this one have its first road test .

With 45 X 20 gearing on 27" wheels that are awaiting some new tyres .

Ride's well and feels relaxed an ideal candidate for some commuting work . Tips my scales at 25 lb which is about 3 lb heavier than my Woodrup .
