Guys I am just a busy PDR guy who happens to teach as well as fix. Most of my colleagues in the trade are far younger and earn a lot more than I do.

Unfortunately, it is a pretty modest bike chain (SRAM PC-971) ...!

Nothing winds me up more than people trying to impress me by telling me how much they've spent on a bike or a new piece of carbon.

If you enjoy your riding it doesn't matter if you're on your grans old Raliegh shopper!

But, as with any hobby, there will always be those who will have you believe that you couldn't possibly get by without the latest 'thing'.

That said, if you've got the money and it makes you happy, good luck to you and go for it.
