And as said, money isnt everything.
I worked for years (23 of them) in a moderately lpw paid job...because I loved the job and the people I worked with. It meant I couldnt even consider pensions and buying a house until I was 40 but it isnt the end of the world. I brought mine at 40ish (my council house) and the years paying rent made the discount greater...I live in a modest house but its mine and cost not a lot...so despite my very modest wages for years...I did ok.
None of this may not even remotely relate to you...but it might. You can sometimes take a longer view.

Yep, you need a roof over your head (preferably in a decent area) and food, everything else is just "stuff".

Why does ot leave you exhausted Jamma ?
Is it physically demanding ?. If it is, you probably cant change that and will/may just drive yourself into the ground.
Is it mentally demanding ?. That can be just as exhausting but you may be able to change that, pressure is sometimes self induced and can be modified. Its a state of mind, relax and enjoy the job a bit more and all of a sudden...its not so bad. Also, if its mental pressure, can some of it be alleviated by better management, spreading tje load, perhaps you could make suggestions to your manager. That said, o always found management never use your solutions/suggestions...they'll usually find an alternative that suits them more.
Travelling to and from jobs and bot really mentally demanding

I've been there working full time as a Blacksmith (bloody hard and hot work) five days a week as the weekends worked as a security guard at Southampton Docks doing a total of over 70 hours a week did it for over a year nearly killed me, but I needed the money. After a while I had to keep asking people what day is it as the week never ended, in the end it became soul destroying, would I do it again........possible if you need the money.

I too am surprised, I'm contracted for 37 hours a week but can go upto 47 with paid overtime, that is normal for many, I was expecting you to say it was 7 day a week working, 60 hours plus.

I do nights at tesco then early mornings at the other job

And there is the cause of your problem, working unsocial hours and then doing early mornings. Can you switch your rota around?

It's really a quickly transitioning environment in retail.

Tescos has undergone gigantic change the last couple of years with cuts to things like team leaders. All the supermarkets are making cuts to all sorts of things right now.

I'd be wary of the overtime at tescos lasting long term. Overtime is generally pretty short in the big supermarkets right now. Of course there are people who they really like who will always appear to get what they want, but if you look at the big picture hours are very sparse at the moment. It's possible to juggle overtime as a lot of the supermarkets are transitioning to workers with even shorter core hours who stay even less than they did in the past. It's not like 5 or 10 or 15 years ago when someone could get whatever overtime they wanted provided they were flexible and a competent worker. It just isn't like that any more.

Things like the 10pm-midnight premium '1' going tells you volumes.

Retail's not worth staying in if you can possibly do anything about it (which you possibly can't). The changes coming to retail in the next few years aren't going to be worth sticking around for.

On the other hand I don't think catering is any better.

I can understand if counters and the late/early thing is making your tired. The latter is a disaster for your body even if you're 21. You can do it for a while. Counters is a lot more demanding than the naysayers on here think it is too.
