Has anyone tried the latest flavour of Covid?

I had them both in the same arm so there was no danger of being unable to sleep on at least one side.

Mrs D had one each side and had a restless night through being unable to get comfy for long.

I did the same both in one arm so I could sleep but forgot the other arm is my bad one I cannot sleep on..:rolleyes:

I had my jabs yesterday morning. I got the sore arms about 12 hours later and started to feel a bit like I was coming down with a cold but I didn't get the post-jab shivering of previous years.
A couple of days later I got called back in for (unrelated) blood tests. Muscles and veins stabbed in both arms in less than a week. I have had enough of needles for now, thanks, NHS!

Having had a horrible headache for 4 days now, lessened the effects with paracetamol but it sits behind my eyes, top of my head and tension in the back of the neck.
Never knowingly had covid yet but took a test yesterday...negative.

It's going to be a straight forward virus, my sinuses are blocked and a yukky smell, taste when I try to clear it.

I was ill (fatigued) for a few weeks a whilst back (months) and had no clue what it was. Even lost my voice for a couple of days. We had a single COVID test kit left so I thought I'd just see. Lo and behold, I tested positive. A fresh test kit confirmed.

My local rag informs me that the new variant is named Frankenstein - with the usual confusion over who that actually was.

Days after getting the jab I've gone down with a horrible cold. There must be an irony in there somewhere.
Your natural immunity is an amazing thing. I’ve seen loads of people miss work after feeling rubbish from a jab. WTF!? Big Pharma getting rich while costing our local economy.

A single negative test doesn't prove you don't have covid.

It simply shows you didn't have a critical amount of covid in your sample at that time, to give a positive result, presuming you took a good sample and the test kit functioned corrrectly.

Daughter and wife have just had it. Sort of in between a cold and flu. Classic loss of taste and smell - my wife couldn't smell Brandy. Fortunately I avoided it.

It certainly is, although i hate to break it to you, but your natural immunity doesn't always protect you. MS, MND, etc. even flu and measles can have serious repercussions including being fatal.

Vaccinations are offered when they are statistically (much) safer than relying on your immune system.

But less rubbish than the actual condition. That's a good result.

(Unless they were workshy ####ers whi were just making up an excuse yo catch up with daytime TV)

YEah, it costs money to develop and manufacture new medications. Do you expect your pharmacy to offer everything for free? Should doctors be unpaid volunteers?

You've got kids in the house now. You're going to be exposed to everything. I reckon kids spend all day at school sharing out the germs so everyone can take a few home with them.

The data I can find shows there have been about 16,000 claims, of which only 180 have been paid out, not thousands. And almost all of those awards were against the Astra Zeneca jab, which is no longer used.
