Has anyone used ‘power tap’ pedal based power meters? Are they any good?

Has anyone got any experience of these pedal based power meters?
I bought a pair of P1s a couple of years ago.

I use them most days and I've never had any problems with them. I used to have a hub Powertap, and the readings from it were a bit lower, but I put the difference down to drivetrain losses.
The batteries in the pedals last me about 6 weeks, which is around 40 - 50 hours of riding.

Cheers. I’ve just had an email from ProBikeKit with an offer for a pair of them for 500 odd quid, instead of over a grand. I think I’ll get them.
