I can't help but feel that meeting my idols would be a huge disappointment. I mean, imagine finding out they're only human after all

I met mine many times. He is human, but not "only human". Quirky. Eccentric even.

Oh no,i've just thought of another. Summer 1970 and i saw him.There he was tanned,smooth talking and always had a wink in his eyes for the "birds". I wanted to be like him when i grew up. He was "Miffy" the local window cleaner! What a life he must live, i thought. I saw him years late,around the pubs and clubs and even then, he always had a wedge of money and a bird on his arm.
