OK, it's a bit of a stretch to say I "met" Davina McCall on a ride but I did sort of ride with her...a bit.

She was doing a charity ride and it was middle of winter and was cycling through Glossop. So I decided to pop out and see if I could see her entourage and then mingle in a bit. Managed to find her, turn around and catch up (she is a pretty slow cyclist). I then got told off by a police outrider for getting to close the presence of St.Davina...she was riding with some guy and I was the only other cyclist in her "group". I, rather embarrassingly, got cheered by a group of primary school kids who were allowed out to watch her go past.
Last I saw was her going extremely slowly up a big hill out of Glossop. It was so slow I got bored, turned around and went home.It then snowed like crazy and I think she almost packed in but to be fair she managed to finish the challenge

@SatNavSaysStraightOn , her partner and I met David Blunket and his dog. We were riding and he was strolling through the grounds at Chatsworth.

I met the most famous bloke from Abingdon, @Fab Foodie

The most famous bloke from Anstey @13 rider

The most famous bloke from Syston - @Joobert

The most famous bloke from Loughborough - @tallliman

The most famous bloke from Countesthorpe - @broady

and a couple of famous blokes from Derbyshire way - @Lilliburlero and @cyberknight

I've also met @guitarpete247 - not sure where he lives, but he is bound to be the most famous from wherever it is he resides.

I did ride straight passed Kajsa Tylen, said hello to her but not realising who she was, even though I had been looking out for her all year :banghead:

I cycled past Carl Chinn in Digbeth, he was standing on the pavement though.
I've cycled past Alys Fowler in Kings Heath as well.
I almost crashed into her. She apologised, but not her fault.

Bit of a Molly Sugdens bridesmaid storey but...

Last summer I stopped because of a style and ending up having a chat with Timmy Mallet who was picking blackberry's right next to it. He is also into cycling having arrived on a bike which was nearby. I have spotted him in the past running the local cycling proficiency scheme on the local quiet roads.

Thoroughly decent chap.

Was riding home from work some years ago, got overtaken by a Royal limo with the Queen and Prince Philip.
About the same era, I was riding an Audax along the north coast of Scotland, came over a headland and there moored in a small bay was Britannia, with a RN escort moored just out at sea.

Adam Hart Davis the TV Presenter once mistook me for Richard Ballantine...... he had been told to look for a large bloke with a beard and a recumbent trike. I fitted the bill

Going through Margam Country Par and was asked to wait, so I then spent half an hour watching the cast of "Merlin" chasing each other around with big swords
