Maybe passed them on the street, or even better - seen them on their bike too?

(I do realise this may be sort of London-centric, but it's worth asking).

I slowed to let Jimmy Carr walk across the road in Derby a while back. It was the day after he'd co hosted the 'alternative' Election Night coverage. He looked rather worse for wear. I didn't realise he was capable of facial hair.

I'd just locked my bike up at The Red Lion in Grantchester (nr Cambridge) when Stephen Hawking came out of the pub. Forgot to ask what his favourite tipple was!

Overtook Jarvis Cocker (he was cycling too) once in Hackney. He got mugged shortly after that and decamped to France.

I used to see Boris Johnson shooting all the red lights on Theobald's Road when he was still at the Spectator.

Nigel Worthington, former Norwich City manager (Now Northern Ireland) in an enormous 4x4 thing was stuck behind me on the bike along a narrow street in Burnham Market a few years back.

Alys Fowler. On her Pashley. Nearly knocked me off, but for the fact that I could see she was taking more interest in the river-side fauna than the cycle path, so I gave her plenty of room.

+1 Alys Fowler on the Birmingham to Stratford train, complete with trays of vegetables bungied to her Pashley rack.

Quite often see long-haired rock types around the Kerrang studios in town, i presume they're famous.
