I'd just locked my bike up at The Red Lion in Grantchester (nr Cambridge) when Stephen Hawking came out of the pub. Forgot to ask what his favourite tipple was!

Arch! She was on a DF and rode past us as we waited at the lights in York. I also rode past Tony Blair a few years ago. He was on his way to meet GW Bush at Sedgefield racecourse where Marine 1 was landing.

I think I should point out, I didn't ride past as in 'overtake, and jump the lights'....

If I remember rightly, it was on the way home from my first 100 miler, so I was barely conscious...

Can't think of anyone famous I've seen, bar the odd Look North reporter. Oh, Dan Snow, I saw him once - but I can't remember if I was riding or walking at the time.

Whilst on the Ham ferry (Twickenham to Ham) with my bicycle a couple of years ago, Jane Horricks of Little Voice (amongst other things) fame, was a fellow passenger.

I also cycled past Louise, pop star wife of Jamie Rednapp, on the river tow path in Putney several years ago. She's a very attractive lady.
