Have your Heinz beans gone mank?

Brandane

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
On the basis of discussions hereabouts we've made the switch, and frankly we couldn't be happier. Branston are definitely the superior bean. Heinz are going to need more than a few tomatoes to regain their baked beans crown.
Yep.. You can't expect to treat your customers like fools, watch them go off and buy your rival product, and then expect them to come running back when you realise you've made an arse of things. I will be sticking with Branston. Thanks, Heinz, for forcing me to try a superior product ^_^.

Can anybody comment on Aldi beans? The last blind tasting review I read went like this.....

1 Branston
2 Aldi
3 Morrisons
4 Heinz

Thank you.

Filling, in a Milky Bar?
Have we got our Milky BARS and WAYS mixed up somewhere in this thread?

Nope, Milkyway is what I mean.
Filling is now cream coloured and not brown

I found Heinz have gone a bit manky over the last few months. Some tins just look like mashed up rubbish.

When we had a kitchen done a couple of weeks ago I found hidden away an old can of Heinz baked beans(bb2011).
On comparing old with new, I can say the sauce in old beans was a liquid and it appears to have more actual beans in.
My "theory" is they have thickened the sauce to make it heavier therefore allowing them to put less beans in.
Maybe only a small difference but scaled up to the quantities they sell it would make a fair difference to costs.
