I am ashamed to say that since I have got a car, I really havent been cycling as much as I want. I just cannot find the time due to family commitments.
The bike is gathering dust and needs a new rear tube, but is perfectly ridable. The good news is that it is half term next week and I am off work this weekend, so I plan on getting back into the groove of things.

Things that I have noticed due to not cycling: I have become feeling sick and ill, I have put on a stone, my legs are not as strong as they were, I am feeling more tired, I just miss the fresh air.

I know a lot of you will probably have a go at me for not riding, but I have really let myself down. The fact that I have put on weight is the biggest worry. I used to need belts for pants, but I dont anymore! I enjoy driving, but not as much as cycling.

That is not a prediction but simple experience, and I was ahead of you on this. I reckon he will be back to cycling some time in his 30's or 40's
I included you in the 'we knew'. Don't give all our secrets away, we need to keep the mystique.

Don't get down about it, I have had quite a time off due to business, health, nerves, all sorts of reasons.

The thing is, if it becomes a task that you HAVE to do, then it becomes less enjoyable and you will be less inclined to do it. Try varying it up, try some walking (just park a bit further out than normal) . go a for a 20 min jog of a morning (or evening), do some yoga.

And the weight is easily remedied, just eat differently when you're doing less exercise. I'm going to big up Weight Watchers again, lost three stone with them last year and I'm pretty lazy and thick when it comes to food, so if I can do it,anyone can!
