Me (for it is I): Hey Hun, you can get iplayer on the TV now!

Mrs 3BM (for it is she): Oh really, how does that work?

You get a system of special plugs, wires from the plug to the router and the TV, the signal is transferred using special magic.

How much does that cost then?

It's about £100 (knowing exactly how much it costs, to the penny).

Why would we pay that when we can record programmes on the freesat box?

Quick incisive thinking and razor sharp logic required now...

Yebbut, it's really cool!

:o)

yes.

SD pictures on the Sony can get a bit blocky .

watch it in HD though and its pin sharp and not a block in sight.

if you are a rugby fan then freesat is a good option as you can get S4C on that wherever you are in the country and watch welsh rugby on a Friday night

Ha ha!

I use Devolo homeplugs - you just plug them into electrical sockets and you can then plug your ethernet cables into them and your electrical cricuit is used to send the data (not as lethal as it sounds). They work very well and they aren't expensive nowadays.

(You don't need the expensive ones shown in the vid, the cheapo ones work fine for iPlayer).

Another option.

I use one with my Internet Ready TV (for iPlayer).
