I have a Langster 2009 (not the Langster steel). I have spotted some rust coming out from the lower headset bearings. I have had a peek and there are 2 bearing races, one at the top and one at the bottom. The ballbearings are really small and in races. Without stripping it all down I can't say what size the bearings/races are and I don't want to strip it down without having replacements. My dealer doesn't know and Specialized don't seem to know either. I've been talking with them via email. Does anyone know what size I need and where I can get them?

Get down to Harry Halls cycles in Manchester (near Oxford Road Railway station) they will not only know what headset size and type, but they will likely have the parts you need.

I'm pretty sure that was one of the places I called but I'll try to get in there on Monday. I've had a couple more emails from Specialized themselves, one of them with a picture that was nothing like the part that is actually in the bike (I bought it new). Their picture was a cartridge bearing but the bike has bearings in a race (bearings with a retainer ring). Impressed that they are trying to help but not impressed that they don't know the parts they are putting into their bikes.
