Headwind v tailwind

Given our weather, most rides are accompanied by a headwind or a tailwind.

Emboldened by a strongish tail-wind, I did 20 miles in less than an hour which is not bad for an old duffer like me.

The next hour and a half meant a battle with a headwind home?

Would you rather have a tailwind at the start when you are full of energy or seek it`s help on the way back when you are tired.

Answers with tailwind both ways will be deleted lol

If I have to have both I prefer head out tailwind home.

Best thing is having a tailwind when the lanes are open and wind makes a difference and then finding some more sheltered roads when you have to take on the prevailing wind.

ive always thought tailwinds were myth and legend, do they actually exist...

No wind is ideal but a headwind out/tailwind home is beter (unless it switches direction whilst you're out)

Often does this to me during the work day. Rarely in my favour.
