Mercedes brought out Air Scarf 10 or 20 years ago. Blows warm air around your neck.
They were a requirement for my partner when we bought a new (to us) car. For back pain, it can be a good comfort. I find them too hot so turn them down and then it feels weird like I'm sitting in warm pee. So I rarely use them. IMHO anything heated works well as a kickstart when it's freezing outside, but once the cabin is warm, anything else becomes redundant
I remember about 10 years ago making a round trip of 250 miles to collect a used Mini for Mrs Gunk as she was insistent that it had to have heated seats.
My mini doesn't or I haven't found them yet!!
Not so sure about that assertion. It is well known that being too warm can make you drowsy, and opening a window to cool down helps you stay more alert.
My 20 years old Yaris has modern features like carpet.
