I've just got round to reading this month's Which? magazine.

From best to worst:
Asda
Branston
Co-op
M&S
Sainsbury's
Lidl Newgate
Heinz
Morrisons
Tesco
Waitrose Essential
HP

(Aldi scored well, but they changed the recipe after the test was done)

What criteria were used for scoring?

Flavour texture and appearance. Salt, sugar and price are tabulated with the rating, but they don't say whether that information was given to the tasters.

How many tasters? Demographic profile etc?
I’m rather sceptical of taste tests

Heinz used to be my go to beans but, since they went all healthy and reduced salt and sugar even in the general range, have switched to other brands. Typically Branston but even Tesco’s own brand are better than Heinz now.

Have to admit, Aldi's own brand beans are pretty tasty.

Remember trying their own brands years ago , I mean back in the early 2000s they were rank rotten . Fast forward to nowadays , they are passable !? However my go to is Branston now ?

Much, much better. As with Lidl, Aldi have upped their game in all departments in the taste test of all their foods.

All boils down to our individual taste buds I think. I thought Aldi were horrible. Branston were ok but I still prefer Heinz.
