Hello all
My first post
I have browsed this forum with interest, especially some of the commuting to work posts. It must be very challenging cycling in London and the bigger Cities. My commute is some what different, a round 11 mile ish trip, the majority of which is the cycle path around Swansea Bay and through Mumbles, encountering only four sets of traffic lights along the way. I am sat at my desk some 45 - 50 mins after leaving the house having had a hot shower at work
Some commutes I will take in an extra 3-4 miles up - down the Clyne Valley, a cycle path which once was a railway. (Thank you Mr. Beecham)
For me cycling is the only way to commute, I have be doing it for 20 years plus. I only take the car in extreme weather conditions three times in the last 2 years or so! If I drive in, or get a lift home I feel like a right fat knacker!!!
It’s also great to get out with my grandson half term and on the few weekends I have off and explore the SUSTRANS routes.
I look forward to contributing the forum
