Apologies for the delay. After inspecting the pump, it is a Presta-only pump and cannot fit a Schrader valve. We apologise for the inconvenience and if you return the pump to your retailer, we can issue a credit or exchange the item for you.

You can still use one of those little brass adaptors. It must be Schrader to Presta as illustrated, and as you have to screw it onto the Schrader valve, you can't really keep it on the pump, except for storage. Just keep it with the pump. If you only have Schrader valves probably good to take up Giant's offer.

I'd just get a couple of adaptors myself, especially if you are not the original purchaser. You can just keep one or two in your saddlebag in case you need them.

Alternatively get a different pump, I'm not a big fan of that type of mini pump as I find pumping with the head on the valve stem awkward, so I have one of the Lezyne flex-hose pumps which are much much better in my experience. I also use CO2, but that's by the by.
